About
In 2016, the Super Duty Tough Work podcast started out as a place where two long time friends and veteran independent hip-hop artists, Blueprint and Illogic, would share stories every week about their hip-hop careers. Eventually, it became a platform for them to help other artists by sharing the knowledge and experience they've gained over the years.
The longer the show went on, the more it moved away from normal hip-hop topics and more toward topics that informed and empowered their audience about how to do better work, while still being entertaining. Blueprint says, "As artists, we know that we can't just sit there and just drop facts unless it's presented in an entertaining way. So we try to make sure that we entertain as well as inform." Now the Super Duty Tough Work podcast has firmly established itself as one of the only podcasts dedicated to helping artists succeed. And while it may not have as large of a following as it would if it were a show dedicated to the never-ending cycle of hip-hop gossip and rumors--Super Duty Tough Work has some of the most loyal listeners around.
In addition to 20 years as a full-time artist, Blueprint has released two paperback books for the podcasts listeners, The Social Media Cheat Code and The 10 Traits of Successful Hip-Hop Artists, and has coached other artists for a decade, establishing himself as one of the most forward thinking artists in this space. "I just wanted a place where I could actually help up-and-coming artists because when we were coming up, none of the more experienced guys would help us," Blueprint says.
This website, superdutoughwork.net, is the hub for everything related to the show and much more. "The plan is for it to be the home for any products and services that creative people may need," explains Blueprint. "A place where loyal listeners of the show as well as those brand new to it can dig deeper and get even more empowering information and instruction to help them along their paths."
